DESIGNATION OF ORIGIN
DO Ribera del Duero.
TYPE OF WINE
16 months in French oak barrels. At least 20 months of ageing in bottle.
14,5 % vol.
Extremely chalky soil with a gentle slope. Very poor on fertility and with a very fragile texture in depth to favour the root penetration.
Mediterranean with continental influence. Low rainfall (annual average rainfall of 300-400 mm). Dry summers and long and extreme winters, with marked diurnal temperature variations through the seasons.
It’s a 7.4-hectare vineyard with a high concentration of limestone, a gentle slope and the perfect exposure.
Vino de Finca elaborated with Tinta Fina from one land (La Cruz) in the highest areas of Ribera del Duero.
The manual harvest gives way to long and intense macerations and to an ageing of 20 months in French oak barrels. Later ageing in wood for its perfect assembly. Here we have a very complex and intense wine in each and every phase of the tasting.
It is bright and clean, in a red cherry colour. Red fruits evolve into soft toasted aromas and spices. On palate it is direct and lively, characterized by its long ageing in barrel and in bottle. A traditional Ribera.
